Dr. David Anderson, founder and president of the BridgeLeader Network (BLN), is one of the world’s leading authorities on building bridges across the deep divides of race, faith, culture and wealth. His insight, vision and passion have made him a widely sought speaker, writer and consultant for major national and international events and policy initiatives. As the founder and senior pastor of Bridgeway Community Church in Columbia, Maryland, Dr. Anderson reaches a dynamic, multicultural congregation of more than 4,000 weekly attendees. He hosts the daily radio talk show “RealTalk with Dr. David Anderson” and is the author of several books on race and diversity. Dr. Anderson earned his doctor of philosophy degree in 2001 from Oxford Graduate School’s American Centre for Religion and Society Studies in the U.S., while studying and defending his essays at Oxford University in England. He and his wife, Amber, reside in Ellicott City, Maryland, with their three children, Isaiah, Luke, and Asia.

Since founding Horizons Stewardship Company in 1992, Clif and his strategists have led consultations in more than 2,000 churches, conferences, synods and diocese in all phases of building, finance and church growth, helping them to secure more than three billion dollars. He is an author, frequent speaker at stewardship seminars and a certified church growth consultant who earned the coveted title CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive). Clif was given the National Circuit Rider Award by the United Methodist Church in 1995 for outstanding leadership in developing vital congregations. He has been an ordained minister of the United Methodist Church since 1975, served in pastoral ministry for 20 years, and is married and living in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Adam is a professor/student, writer, God considerer, tech enjoyer and social critic. He lives in Minneapolis, where he teaches at Luther Seminary in St. Paul and directs the Center for Stewardship Leaders. In his spare time, he’s pursuing a Ph.D. in rhetoric, writing and culture at North Dakota State University, where his dissertation will analyze how congregations and non-profits use crowdfunding. He has been happily married to Megan, a pediatric physician both brilliant and beautiful, for nine years.

Phil is a member of the Tennessee Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and began his service at the Foundation in 2013. He earned the M.Div from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from Boston College. After serving local churches for 11 years, he taught pastoral theology at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Jan, are the parents of two children. They’re also co-authors of Ministry and Money: A Practical Guide for Pastors and the 2012 United Methodist Guidelines for Finance Committees. His new book, The Face of Forgiveness: A Pastoral Theology of Shame and Redemption, was published in June 2016.

With more than 35 years of business experience and a lifelong faith, Moses was elected general secretary of the General Council on Finance and Administration (GCFA) of The United Methodist Church in August 2008. In this role, he serves as the chief financial officer for the 13 million-member denomination. He is responsible for oversight and administration of United Methodist global financial resources, statistical data collection, insurance products and legal interests of the church, among other areas of administrative ministry. Moses has established and implemented an innovative vision for the services provided by GCFA to increase its servant ministry and responsibilities to the people of The United Methodist Church. He plans to share not only financial insights for growing stewardship, but also experiences and inspirations from the churches he serves.

She brings more than 17 years of executive non-profit leadership to her position as Director of Seminary Advancement for Christian Theological Seminary, where she has served since June 2015. She has also served successfully in leadership roles at a variety of mission-driven agencies in the health, human services and community development fields across the country, and has a long career in raising resources for mission-driven work, including annual and capital campaigns, grant writing and endowment development. Aimée also is owner/lead consultant for ALlyd Image Solutions, and her work can be seen through more than 90 non-profit agencies in the Midwest. She and her husband Aaron have three children, Lydia, Noah and Andrew.

Rusty joined Generis in 2001 to team up with a dedicated group focused on accelerating generosity toward God-inspired vision. He engages with clients in ministry fund development, ministry expansion and capital projects, major donor development strategies, generosity audits, pre-campaign assessment and feasibility studies, special projects and planned giving initiatives. Rusty has written about stewardship and generosity since 2008, and has produced several e-books on topics that impact giving cultures within the church. He is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and a member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP). Rusty serves as coordinator for Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University and is a Certified Financial Coach. He and his wife, Andrea, live in the St. Louis area. They are proud parents of two grown children and one granddaughter.

After 25 years in ministry as a pastor of worship and music in local churches, Joel has worked for organizations focused on stewardship and fundraising for more than 17 years, and has helped more than 150 churches raise over $600 million. He currently serves as senior vice president and partner with Horizons Stewardship. His passion for the ministry of stewardship comes from seeing churches experience profound spiritual growth and individual lives transformed through stewardship journeys built around prayer and scripture. He is author of Crafting a Theology of Stewardship and co-author of Church Giving Matters and The Ministry of Giving. A resident of Shelby, North Carolina, Joel and his wife, Donna, have three children and six grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys writing music, running, hunting, bass and fly-fishing and participating in outdoor activities of all kinds.

Philip is the lead pastor for First Baptist Church of Bradenton, Florida, and assistant professor of leadership and biblical studies for Houston Baptist University. He is the author of several books and Bible studies, including Habits for Our Holiness: How the Spiritual Disciplines Grow Us Up, Draw Us Together, and Send Us Out; Compelled: Living the Mission of God; Transformational Discipleship: How People Really Grow; and Storm Shelter: Psalms of God’s Embrace. He also was the general editor for The Mission of God Study Bible and worked in the Christian publishing industry in addition to serving as a pastor and church planter. Philip, who earned a doctor of ministry degree from Southeastern Baptist Seminary, frequently speaks at conferences and trains other pastors in spiritual leadership. He is happily married to Angie and proud to be father to their two sons, Andrew and Chris.

Marvin was vice president and general manager from 1998 until 2014, and also served as programming manager, where he was instrumental in developing a larger, more experienced programming department. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Furman University and an MBA from Wake Forest University.

Marcia Shetler has been serving as executive director/CEO of the Ecumenical Stewardship Center since March 2011. She holds an MA in philanthropy and development from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, a BS in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Bible Certificate from Eastern Mennonite University. She formerly served as administrative staff in two middle judicatories of the Church of the Brethren, and most recently was director of communications and public relations for Bethany Theological Seminary in Richmond, Indiana, an administrative faculty position.

Clayton became executive pastor of generosity at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in the greater Kansas City, Missouri area in September 2005 after 25 years as a senior pastor in several churches. He leads the ministry areas of stewardship, development and generosity, offering oversight and support to giving campaigns. He consults with churches on stewardship and financial campaigns, speaks at conferences and leads faith-based programs that help people with personal financial stewardship. As senior pastor at Schweitzer United Methodist Church, he received the denomination’s Circuit Rider Award for Church Growth. His book, Propel: Good Stewardship – Greater Generosity, was published in March 2015. Clayton and his wife, Lori, have four children and two grandchildren, and love horses, gardening, golf and travel.

David served as senior pastor for a number of churches before spending more than two decades providing interim leadership to churches going through transitional periods, including his current role at New Heights Church in Columbia, South Carolina. A writer and transitional pastor trainer, he also served on the Baptist State Convention staffs in South Carolina, Oklahoma and Missouri and currently is executive coordinator for the national Stewardship Development Association. He received his doctorate of ministry degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and also holds two master’s degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and Karen, his wife of 43 years, have two children and six grandchildren.
